Swedish tech company Einride is partnering with American manufacturer Mars to deploy 300 heavy-duty electric trucks for Mars' European operations by 2030. Einride has recently completed the first truck delivery, which included two electric trucks and charging points powered by Einride's Saga operating system. The trucks were deployed between a Mars petcare factory and a distribution center in Germany. The partnership is set to expand across Europe, with plans to launch routes in the UK and Netherlands in 2024. There are also plans to launch autonomous pilot operations in 2025.
