 <p>Kroo, a UK-based digital bank, has raised over GBP 2 million (~USD 2.5 million) in a crowdfunding round, more than double its initial target of GBP 1 million. The campaign saw participation from over 2,700 individual investors from over 45 countries, with an average investment of over GBP 740 (~USD 939). Its total funds now stand at USD 75.8 million.</p>
 <p>The company aims to use the fresh funds to bolster its offerings and market presence.</p>
 <p>In less than a year since starting its current account, the bank has opened 145,000 accounts and gathered GBP 800 million in deposits. Kroo has notably provided customers with high-interest rates, giving back over GBP 15.6 million to their accounts.</p>

Kroo initiates crowdfunding campaign

UK digital bank, Kroo, is seeking to raise between GBP 55 million and GBP 70 million in its Series C funding round. The bank plans to target various investors across the UK, US, and Europe, including family offices, institutional investors, venture capitalists, and private equity firms. The funds raised will be used to expand Kroo's product portfolio, increase its customer base, and grow its loan book. Since its launch just a few years ago, Kroo has already accumulated nearly GBP 750 million in deposits and serves 130,000 current account customers but aims to serve one million customers by 2025.
