 <p>Cognizant has inaugurated a high-tech AI Lab in San Francisco dedicated to furthering AI technology through innovative practices and the creation of intellectual property and AI-facilitating technologies. This is a part of Cognizant's $1 billion future investment in GenAI.</p>
 <p>The lab will be under the leadership of AI entrepreneur Babak Hodjat, with research activities overseen by Risto Miikkulainen, a University of Texas AI Professor. The lab plans on collaborating with research institutions, clients, and startups, and already has 75 existing and pending patents providing a unique base for the construction of AI solutions.</p>
 <p>The Advanced AI Lab emphasizes on research and design of AI solutions, and their evaluation and demonstration across various business sectors. The Lab engages with external stakeholders and gets involved in AI-for-good initiatives while advocating for global AI-aided decision-making. This also reinforces Cognizant's position as a center for peer-reviewed AI research and it partners with Cognizant's business divisions to educate associates on new AI solutions through the Cognizant Neuro AI platform.</p>
