 <p>Global flavor and fragrance firm IFF, Unilever, and Wageningen University in the Netherlands are working together to improve the flavor of plant-based meats. This partnership aims to enhance consumer enjoyment and contribute to the industry's development.</p>
 <p>The members of the partnership will conduct a four-year study to understand the interaction between flavor and protein molecules in plant-based meats and find ways to enhance taste and eliminate unwanted flavors.</p>

Israeli drone-based delivery company Flytrex has introduced Autonomous Pickup, allowing its drones to pick up and deliver orders without human involvement. The drones will use a line to pick up orders and fly directly to customers' homes, reducing delivery time to around five minutes. Flytrex has partnered with several restaurants and retailers, including Papa Johns and Unilever's The Ice Cream Shop, to implement this fully autonomous delivery system. Flytrex's rival, Alphabet's drone delivery division Wing, has also revealed plans to introduce similar autonomous pickup and delivery capabilities in 2024.

The Vegetarian Butcher, a plant-based meat brand owned by Unilever, has partnered with Duzgun Food Group to create a plant-based kebab skewer for foodservice in Europe. Made from soy, fats, and traditional spices, the meat-free kebab is designed for large-scale cooking and grilling and offers an authentic meat-like taste. It is also halal-certified, lactose-free, and suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians.

Carrefour, along with several food manufacturing and distribution companies, including Danone, SAVENCIA, ANDROS, Bel Bonduelle, Unilever, and NUTRITION & SANTE, has formed a plant-based coalition.
