<p>Online trading platform, Robinhood, has launched its commission-free trading service in the UK. This platform allows users to trade US stocks without any commission or FX fees and also offers a 5% interest on cash not invested.</p>
<p>However, pending regulatory discussions, Robinhood has put a pause to their plan of offering margin trading at 12% interest in the UK. Initially, they had claimed that they could provide margin investing without checking customer's suitability because of a regulatory exemption. But, there is still no comment from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regarding this exemption.</p>

Remarkably, it also reported a 24% year-on-year growth in net revenue, with earnings amounting to USD 471 million for Q4 2023, up from the USD 380 million that was recorded in Q4 2022. In a strategic business decision, Robinhood included 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs to its platform a day after gaining approval from the SEC. As part of its global expansion strategy, the company is building on the progress it has made in the UK and EU markets and is exploring opportunities for further expansion outside the US.</p>
