Medical research platform Medeloop raised USD 15.5 million in Series A funding led by Inovia Capital, with participation from Icon Ventures and existing investors General Catalyst and Maven Ventures. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 23.5 million.
The funding will be used to expand Medeloop's end-to-end AI-powered platform, which includes tools for grant applications, clinical studies management, data analytics, and manuscript publication.
Founded by AI experts at Stanford, Medeloop's platform can perform analyses up to 1,000 times faster than traditional methods by transforming data into a graph database and enriching it with connections to external datasets.
Analyst QuickTake: The company last raised funding just over a year ago in September 2023 ; at the time, the funds were used to launch the company's platform. Since then, the company has partnered with Quebec research center Mila in March of this year to integrate AI into health research and expedite clinical trials. This funding round indicates that the company and its offerings are now established and are ready for expansion.
