 <p> As part of this partnership, Amprius will supply its high-energy SiCore battery cells to Stafl Systems. These will be used to design custom battery products and create specific battery packs with Amprius' cells. The aim of this collaboration is to speed up the process of adopting advanced battery solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and urban air mobility (UAM) applications.</p>

 <p>UK-based aerospace technology firm, Evolito Ltd, has hired Marcus Holme as its new CTO. Holme, who has a Master's degree in power electronics and 24 years of aviation experience, will lead the technology development and focus on the axial-flux e-motor and propulsion product family of Evolito. He previously served as senior director of engineering at Collins Aerospace, where he dealt with multiple aircraft system electrification programs.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Evolito, a company established in 2021, specializes in axial-flux electric motors, power electronics, and battery solutions for aerospace applications. In December 2023, Evolito received the UK Civil Aviation Authority's Design Organisation Approval (DOA) for its electric propulsion system products. The firm partners with numerous OEMs to create motors and propulsion systems for eVTOL, urban air mobility, and fixed-wing applications.</p>

 <p>Urban air mobility company BETA Technologies, based in the US, has received UL certification for its Charge Cube, a product for electric charging. </p>
 <p>The certification was awarded after extensive testing in areas such as electrical, mechanical, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility. The charger complies with multiple UL standards, namely UL 2202, UL 2231-1, and UL 2231-2.</p>
 <p>The Charge Cube has a number of features including multimodal, interoperability, and a 50-foot cord that uses a global charging standard. This makes it compatible with a range of electric vehicles, including cars, trucks, and airplanes. The cube can be used in conjunction with BETA’s Thermal Management System and can be used to charge electric aircraft and ground EVs. </p>

 <p>Eve Air Mobility, a company specializing in Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solutions, has penned a letter of intent with Japan's major public helicopter air charter service, AirX, to provide as many as 50 eVTOL aircraft.</p>

 <p>The intent is for AirX to employ Eve's eVTOLs and urban air traffic management software, named Vector, to progress its air mobility operations. Eve's eVTOLs are projected to be functional by 2026 in a move that will solidify Eve’s presence in the Asia-Pacific area.</p>

 <p>An air-taxi and drone logistics company based in UK, Skyports, has successfully raised GBP 88.3 million (approximately USD 110 million) in a Series C funding round. The leading investment was made by ACS Group's subsidiary, Concesiones de Infraestructuras, also seeing participation from investors like Groupe ADP.</p>
 <p>With these funds, Skyports aims to build a site in Dubai and has plans to initiate air-taxi services by 2026. The company's strategy includes the establishment of four vertiports in strategic locations around Dubai, for example, the international airport and the downtown area.</p>

<p>Amprius SiCore batteries will be used in AIBOT's autonomous eVTOL vehicles, such as a heavy-load air cargo eVTOL drone and a six-seater, single-pilot eVTOL air taxi. These batteries have high energy density and power, ensuring maximum performance. The first aieVTOL drone is expected to launch by late 2024.</p>

This endorsement signals the company's establishment of a mass-production quality management system that fulfills the aviation authority's benchmarks. The certification process demanded a rigorous and comprehensive appraisal of EHang’s production capabilities and quality management system. It evaluated 19 fundamentals including organizational management, design document control, personnel capabilities and qualifications, supplier management, production process control, inspection, and testing.</p>

 <p>German company Lilium, who is developing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) jets, has acquired standby flight instruments from Garmin. These will be utilized in the making of Lilium jets and also in their jet flight simulator designed for training pilots. </p>
 <p>Such instruments will function as a secondary display, offering extra safety measures if a primary cockpit instrument were to fail. These will be incorporated in the manufacturing of certified aircraft and will communicate with the jet's flight control computer to provide sensor data. </p>
