 <p>Rapid Liquid Print (RLP), a 3D printer manufacturer, recently secured USD 7 million in a Series A funding round. This funding round was led by Germany's HZG Group and saw participation from BMW i Ventures and MassMutual.</p>
 <p>RLP plans to utilize this funding for their business expansion that includes boosting their production, augmenting their team, and exploring more business areas.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Born out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Rapid Liquid Print specializes in manufacturing large-scale 3D printers. These printers use a unique printing method known as “rapid liquid print." This method entails the injection of a liquid material mixture into a gel-filled container via a nozzle; this results in the creation of a 3D object. According to the company, this process is not only rapid but also doesn't warrant the printing of additional support structures. Additionally, the objects that are printed through this process can apparently be put to use instantly as they require no post-processing.</p>

With this additional funding, Inkbit's total earnings surge to USD 63.8 million.</p>

Inkbit raises USD 19 million in new funding

 <p>Advanced manufacturing company, SPEE3D from Australia, has formed a partnership with the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), which is recognized for its work in the field of high-tech research. The collaboration will allow SPEE3D's Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) technology to be integrated into NJII's high-end manufacturing setup. </p>
 
 <p>This strategic alliance will empower NJII in using the WarpSPEE3D leading-edge, large-format metal 3D printer. The primary objective is to support the Collaborative Operationalized Manufacturing Engineering Training (COMET) initiative launched by NJII. The aim of this initiative is to prepare students and military personnel to create large-scale metal components as per demand. </p>

The fund contributors featured prominent companies such as ST Engineering, Zebra Technologies, Youngone, Standard Industries, Vertex Exploratory Fund, NEA, XN, Taiwania Capital, among others. With the latest financial injection, the total funding accrued by the company reaches an impressive figure of nearly USD 217 million.</p>
 
<p>ARRIS intends to channel the capital towards expanding its operations on a global scale and strengthening its partnerships with ingredient brands. The expansion plan predominantly targets consumer products, with specific emphasis on sectors like footwear, bicycles, portable electronics, and aerospace applications.</p>

 <p>This solution integrates Meltio's wire-laser metal deposition (W-LMD) technology with FANUC’s versatile six-axis robot and a two-axis positioner within a safe laser enclosure. These features enable the production of large-scaled, fully dense metallic parts.</p>
 
 <p>Meltio defines this solution as highly efficient, boasting a deposition rate of up to 1 kg per hour, large build volume of 3.2’ x 6.5’ x 3.2’, and compatibility with welding wire.  <p>3D printing technology provider Formlabs has launched a new 3D printer, Form 4, designed for large-scale and rapid 3D printing projects. The printer uses a new print engine that employs low force display (LFD) technology, enabling parts to cure at quick speeds, amounting to 100 mm per hour. The build volume of the printer is 30% larger than its predecessors, permitting users to print several small parts at once.</p>
  
 <p>Formlabs also introduced a biocompatible variant, Form 4B, which uses stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing technology. The company asserts that Form 4B can produce most parts in less than two hours.</p>

 <p>Sintavia, a company offering on-demand additive manufacturing solutions, has disclosed its plan to invest USD 25 million for the expansion of its metal AM headquarters in Florida. This investment plan is scheduled for completion by the last quarter of 2024.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>The main motive behind this planned expansion is to accustom to the requirements from the US Department of Defense. The expansion plans entail an increase of 25,000 sq ft to the existing advanced manufacturing area. It will involve several new aditions, including large-format 3D printers, systems for large-format post-processing, and equipment for component testing.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Alongside the physical expansion, Sintavia also intends to further concentrate on its research and development. The company will target the creation of high-performance thermodynamic components, with a spotlight on aerospace heat exchangers in particular.</p>

Sintavia invests USD 25 million to expand metal AM headquarters in Florida

 <p>Materialise, a company offering 3D printing software and services, has recently expanded its additive manufacturing material portfolio. The new additions include polyamide 12S, polyamide 11 for HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), and polyamide (PA-CF) for fused deposition modeling (FDM).</p>
 
 <p>The PA-CF material, composed of a thermoplastic filament boosted with 35% carbon fiber, will be ideally suited for the creation of heavier metal components. On the other hand, due to its resilience, adaptability, and reported biocompatibility, PA 11 is expected to find use in medical technology applications. Lastly, the implementation of PA 12S is anticipated in areas of volume prototyping and production.</p>
 
 <p>Furthermore, Materialise has entered into a collaboration with Renishaw, a manufacturing systems and software provider. The purpose of this alliance is to augment the productivity of Renishaw’s additive manufacturing machines.</p>
 
 <p>The collaboration will facilitate Materialise in incorporating its build processor with Renishaw's RenAM 500 series of metal additive manufacturing machines. In addition, Materialise plans to extend access to Renishaw’s users to Magics along with its data and build preparation software.</p>
