US-based Forager Project is a family-owned organic dairy-free products manufacturer. Its dairy-free product range includes cashew-milk yogurt, half and half, butter and sour cream, milk and creamer, probiotic drinks, protein shakes, chips, and cereal.
In 2021, the company expanded its portfolio with the launch of a plant-based cheese line and an ice cream line made using cashew milk. Danone Manifesto Ventures bought a minority stake in the company in 2019 and according to the Forager project, part of the funds from Danone Manifesto was to be utilized to build its product portfolio and distribution channels as well as to increase brand awareness. Additionally, in May 2022 the company launched its first ever kid-specific organic dairy-free yogurt range made from cashew milk.
The company’s products are available across the US with retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Natural Grocers, Market Basket, Earth Fare, Walgreens, and Grommet Garage. It also partnered with Sol Sips, a vegan cafe in New York, in August 2020 to expand its distribution.
