ElectricFish is a US-based company that is developing and deploying XFC (Extreme Fast Charging) stations using microgrid scale energy storage. The company’s EV charging solution coupled with distributed energy storage enables the storage to charge when excess renewable energy is available and not pull power from the grid whenever a car plugs in.
ElectricFish’s product “350²” is a plug-and-play energy storage system that includes an ultrafast charging CCS port that can deliver charging rates to vehicle architectures ranging from 300 - 950 VDC. The company intends to partner with gas stations as the new chargers can plug into any existing electrical connection. Each charger can be used for up to 10 minutes and add up to 100 miles of range to EVs.
