As of February 2024, CarbonCloud’s platform gathers carbon footprint data for over 50,000 products and ingredients, and 20,000 crop and animal ingredients globally.
CarbonCloud provides businesses with the ability to forecast and simulate scenarios to predict the impact of their decisions on their carbon footprint. The platform's Scope 3 solution addresses the data collection problem by automating the collection of emissions data from suppliers and creating a fully auditable and traceable emissions map. CarbonCloud's Automated Mapping platform enables large portfolios to acquire their emissions baseline quickly and accurately. The platform also allows users to easily extract emissions data for reporting and equip their physical or digital shelves with the climate footprint.

In November 2022, CarbonCloud partnered with Dole Sunshine Company to automate lifecycle assessments for measuring greenhouse gas emissions in food products using machine learning. The company lists some popular European food and beverage brands and companies such as Unilever, Oatly, Estrella, Naturali Foods, Sproud, Nude, and Compass Group as clients.
Funding and financials
The company’s most recent funding round was in February 2023, when it raised EUR 7.5 million (USD 8.2 million) in a Series A funding led by Cusp Capital and Peak. The funds raised were used to strengthen the company’s position in the climate intelligence space, along with market expansion.
