HealthLeap is a health technology company that has developed an AI-powered digital assistant called NutriLeap to address the pervasive issue of hospital malnutrition. NutriLeap is a mobile app that utilizes machine learning algorithms to enhance the assessment of patients' nutritional needs and suggest precise combinations of nutrients tailored to their medical history, body measurements, lab results, and symptoms.

The app seamlessly integrates with hospital electronic health record (EHR) systems, enabling it to identify at-risk patients who may be exhibiting subtle signs of malnutrition that healthcare professionals might otherwise overlook. This feature is crucial in reducing hospital readmissions, a key concern for hospitals as insurers can reclaim reimbursements for certain patients readmitted within 30 days of discharge.

In April 2021, HealthLeap raised USD 1.1 million in pre-seed funding led by deep tech investor Fifty Years. The company aims to leverage the vast data collected through NutriLeap to drive groundbreaking nutrition research and ultimately become the catalyst for a new era of data-driven, personalized nutrition care.
