British company Additive Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) offers post-printing hardware solutions targeting medical, consumer goods, automotive, aerospace, dental, electronics, and tooling use cases. The company offers a range of printers, some with patented technology for de-powdering, shot blasting, and chemical vapor smoothing for different use cases like low-volume prototyping, high-volume production as well as continuous automated production. AMT’s post-processing solutions are said to increase mechanical properties of the printed part, improve surface quality and dimensional accuracy, seal against liquid and gas intake, enhance color, and reduce bacteria growth.
In October 2023, AMT introduced a new desktop chemical vapor smoothing machine called PostPro SFX, designed to improve the surface finish and mechanical properties of parts produced by small-format powder bed 3D printers.
Key customers and partnerships
AMT printers are compatible with technologies and materials offered by over 20 AM companies in the market including 3D Systems, hp, Markforged, Prodways, Roboze, Stratasys, and Ultimaker. The company sells through a network of distributors and resellers in North America, Europe, and the APAC region with offices in the US, the UK, and Taiwan.
Funding and financials
In October 2021, AMT raised USD 15 million in Series B funding, bringing the total to USD 25 million. The new funds were expected to be used to roll out new products and scale day-to-day commercial operations.
