Glytch is an esports infrastructure company that plans to open a series of esports venues across North America. In November 2020, the company commenced the construction of its first esports venue in Los Angeles. It plans to open three more venues by 2024, and four each year thereafter to reach 32. Glytch plans to house major esports teams at its venues, which will be between 90,000 sq ft and 120,000 sq ft. In addition, the venues will offer virtually immersive experiences. The company announced a strategic tie up with global sports and entertainment venue operator Legends in April 2022. Legends will serve as the exclusive operator of upcoming Glytch esports venues across North America.
Glytch is backed by Liquid2 Ventures, an early backer of esports organization Cloud9, and was operating in stealth as of November 2020. Other backers include Kevin Lin (TwitchTV co-founder) and Jon Burton (the founder of video game developer TT Games).
