Founded in 2020, Cartwheel offers an on-demand delivery management platform that provides solutions for restaurants and other retail options. The company’s services include solutions for in-house delivery, including customer engagement, a driver app, and dispatch tools for managers.
The platform charges a base fee of USD 0.25 per order, plus an additional variable charge based on volume and customized features. The company also offers a starter pack priced at USD 119 per month (if billed annually, and USD 149 per month if monthly), which includes the base fee and is limited to 600 deliveries.
In May 2021, Cartwheel partnered with Olo, a digital ordering and delivery platform with more than 400 brand customers. The partnership entails the use of Cartwheel’s driver app and dispatch tools within Olo Dispatch, a delivery service empowering brands, including Portillo's Hot Dogs (a chain of restaurants in more than 60 locations across several states), P.F. Chang’s, Charleys Philly Steaks, and Taco del Mar. More recently, in March 2022, the company partnered with ChowNow, a white-label online ordering platform for restaurants, to extend its hybrid (self and third-party) delivery suite to independent restaurants and small businesses.
In April 2022, Cartwheel raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by Moonshots Capital with participation from Chingona Ventures and existing investors including TenOneTen Ventures, Act One, and Pitbull Capital. The company intended to use the funds for product development, partner integrations, and company expansion.
