Ireland’s Cattle Eye provides a complete solution to livestock farmers, allowing them to monitor the performance and welfare of their cows. The company operates an autonomous video surveillance platform to monitor farm livestock. This device is reported to be relatively cheap, making it attractive to livestock farmers. The company uses data gathered through the device, alongside machine learning, to analyze cattle behaviour and provide insight to farmers via their smartphones or even integrate the system with farmers’ existing farm management system. Cattle Eye claims to deliver an average saving of USD 350 per cow a year and has been deployed at around 11 dairy farms.
In March 2024, The company was acquired by GEA, a supplier of systems and components to the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors.
