Chekout, an online food delivery service in New York City promising fair delivery fees that will benefit both restaurants and diners.
Founded in 2020, during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chekout’s goal is to keep its fees low so that its partner restaurants can stay in business. The company claims a maximum New York City-area delivery fee of USD 2.50—no matter the distance or order amount. This is estimated to be 17-81% cheaper than its major competitors, UberEats and Postmates.
Chekout also claims that restaurants are not charged for using the service.
As of March 2021, Chekout has signed up over 100 New York restaurants with plans to expand its business throughout the United States.
