GeoGreens

Based in New Jersey, GeoGreens (previously known as Geopoonica Greens) operates hydroponic vertical farms that produce microgreens, leafy greens, and herbs. The company also sells products such as popsicles, shooter drinks, and vitamin blends that are made from its vertically grown produce. Consumers can purchase the products online via the company’s website.  The company primarily focuses on serving the Tri-state area.

Geoponica Greens receives support from the non-profit organization Choose New Jersey, which supports the company with site selection and expansion across New Jersey.  In August 2021, Geoponica Greens reported that it plans to create a local Community Supported Agriculture  (CSA) program (a program that connects the producer and consumers within the food system) to provide its vertically grown produce to customers on a subscription basis.

In November 2021, the company launched its operations at the 2,000 square-foot historic “Mill One” warehouse, located in Hamilton. The facility is said to have a capacity to harvest 2-3 tons of greens per year.
