Cherish Health has developed a sensor platform that uses technology such as AI and built in cellular connectivity to help detect falls. Cherish’s flagship product, Serenity, is able to construct a 13-point skeleton model of up to two individuals within a 40 ft range. Using radar technology and AI for data processing, the system can differentiate between normal lying down and falls, even slow ones. Additionally, the product can monitor resting heart rates and respiration from a distance without any wearable technology. In emergency situations, the device is able to notify a designated group or a 24/7 monitoring service through its integration with Alarm.com’s “Personal Safety + Awareness platform.” The Serenity platform is priced at USD 300 and requires a USD 39 monthly subscription.
Key customers and partnerships
In January 2024, Cherish partnered with Alarm.com to launch Cherish’s Serenity sensor. Through the partnership, Alarm.com’s services were integrated to Serenity’s offering so that healthcare providers can be contacted and routed to user’s homes in case of emergency.
Prior to this, in April 2020, Cherish partnered with Health eVillages to launch a program that would bring new technology to elderly veterans residing at the Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center to monitor and support their health care needs.
