Colossyan

Colossyan is an AI-powered video generator for workplace learning and development, converting text prompts into words spoken by a virtual avatar. The platform offers a range of diverse avatars and multiple languages for localization and allows users to upload training presentation documents for direct conversion to video. Customers can also choose to create a custom avatar. Colossyan’s use cases include:

1) Learning and training: Create training videos using avatars of real actors for learning engagement 

2) Explainer videos: Communicate products and services to customers using video, aiming to influence purchasing decisions

3) Corporate communications: Personalized company updates or announcement videos

4) Marketing and sales: Market products and services using videos personalized for each customer

Colossyan uses neural networks trained to understand and simulate the real world; a technique known as “neural rendering.” 3D avatars and scenes are generated by capturing real-world footage and feeding the video data into a neural network with motion and depth information.

Funding and financials

Colossyan raised USD 22 million in a Series A funding round led by Lakestar in February 2024. The funds were to be used for the company's growth and expansion initiatives, with a particular emphasis on the recruitment of new staff for roles such as sales in North America, customer success, growth product, and AI research.
