Paris-based 360Learning was founded in 2013 and provides a learning management system (LMS) that includes an authoring tool, feedback loops, and learning analytics. The platform promotes a collaborative, or bottom-up, approach to learning and supports learning and development (L&D) teams with crowdsourcing and prioritizing training needs. As of October 2021, 360Learning served more than 1,500 companies globally.
The company entered the M&A space in January 2022 by acquiring Looop, a UK-based learning management system (LMS) provider, for USD 20 million, in a combination of cash and stock, allowing it to expand its presence in the UK and beyond, and strengthen its product offering to support customers as they deal with transitions to remote work, employee turnover, and skills shortages.
In February 2022, the company partnered with HiBob, a human resource platform, to integrate its learning and development programs with HiBob’s employee onboarding and retention plans.
In April 2019, the company raised USD 41 million in a Series B round to consolidate its position in its home market of France, and fund growth in the UK and North America. Its previous funding round was in October 2013 when it raised USD 1.35 million (EUR 1.2 million). In October 2021, the company raised USD 200 million in funding from Sumeru, SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2, and Silver Lake Waterman. The funds will be used to grow the company’s employee base, expand to new markets, and invest in acquisitions.
