Kyndryl

IBM spin-off Kyndryl provides IT infrastructure services including digital transformation, digital workplaces, cloud services, and other network solutions. As of February 2022, the company had more than 4,000 customers across 60+ countries.

In February 2022, Kyndryl announced a global network and edge computing alliance with Nokia to provide smart factory solutions targeting enterprise customers. The partnership combines Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) application platform with Kyndryl’s consulting and managed services to support digital transformations for manufacturers by using Nokia’s LTE and 5G offerings to deliver enterprise-grade edge solutions to incorporate IoT, cloud computing, and AI into manufacturing operations. Under the collaboration, the two companies have already implemented private LTE and 5G deployments and several proof-of-concept (PoC) applications for Dow Inc. to enhance worker safety, asset monitoring, etc. as a blueprint, which the companies intend to deploy in other sites globally.
