Oddlygood Global, a spin-off of Valio (one of the leading food companies in Finland), debuted in the market in 2018. The startup uses oats and pea proteins to develop plant-based products, including oat drinks for coffee, oat yogurts, cheeses, and dairy alternatives. These are available at retailers in Finland, Sweden, the UK, the US, Russia, and other Baltic countries (as of December 2021). According to the company, as of February 2022, its product sales have doubled each year since its debut. The company announced plans to begin production of Oddlygood Yogurt in North Carolina and enter the US market in 2022 and expanded its US portfolio with the addition of its All-In Barista Oat Drink in September 2022.
In October 2023, the company acquired the Nordic brand Planti, including its products, brand, and intellectual property rights for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition allowed the company to expand its product offering and further solidify its presence in the plant-based food industry in Sweden and Finland.
In October 2024, Oddlygood acquired UK-based Rude Health, a manufacturer of plant-based drinks, cereals, and snacks, for an undisclosed sum. The company aimed to strengthen its presence in the UK and European plant-based markets through this acquisition, as well as leverage synergies to expand market share and drive innovation across their product line.
