UK-based Strolll is a MedTech firm that offers “Reality DTx,” an AR headset tailored to individuals suffering from Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders such as strokes and multiple sclerosis. The company claims that its headset is the world’s first patented solution for cueing therapy and gamified exercise to improve gait and balance and reduce fall risk for people with the aforementioned neurological disorders.
The company received FDA approval for its AR headset in May 2023.
Funding and financials
In October 2023, Stroll raised GBP 2.1 million (~USD 2.7 million) in a seed funding round led by the Midland Engine Investment Fund (MEIF). Funds were earmarked for gathering outcome-related data from studies and NHS pilots, expanding into the US market, and expanding its tech applicability to medical disorders beyond Parkinson’s disease.
