UNLESS Collective

UNLESS Collective is a regenerative fashion company that manufactures predominantly streetwear using plant-based materials and other plastic alternatives,  offering a wide range of apparel products, including shoes, jackets, t-shirts, and hoodies. The company was founded by the former Adidas brand chief and claims that its products are manufactured using 100% plants and minerals with zero plastic and that they are biodegradable at the end of their life.

In September 2022, UNLESS launched its first set of apparel products including a series of graphic tees, flannel overshirts, and hoodies all produced in collaboration with local artists from Portland, Oregon, simultaneously opening its first store in a 400 sq. ft. temporary location in downtown Portland. In November 2022 , UNLESS Collective partnered with Natural Fiber Welding (NFW) to launch the world's first regenerative sneaker called “DEGENERATE.” The company also conducts a takeback program, where they collect end-of-life “UNLESS” products and recycle or decompose them. 

UNLESS is a portfolio company of Aurum Partners. In March 2021, the company received USD 7.5 million at a seed funding round, valuing the company at USD 30 million. This funding round was led by three undisclosed venture capitalists who forged partnerships with the company.
