 <p>Marks &amp; Spencer, a food and fashion retailer based in the UK, has unveiled plans to install self-checkout systems in the changing rooms of its fashion stores. The firm is looking to execute this deployment in over 100 stores by the beginning of 2028.</p>
 <p>This new system will allow customers to try on garments and transact payments in the changing room itself. This progression will eliminate the necessity for customers to join the queue two times. Staff members will be present in the changing room areas to mitigate potential theft and verify that customers have paid for their merchandise.</p>
 <p>This advanced technology has already been implemented across 28 revamped Marks &amp; Spencer stores, including at their Fosse Park flagship store in Leicester. The company's initial approach involves installing a single self-checkout unit in each changing room area, with plans to amplify the rollout based on customer usage and demand.</p>
