Project Eaden

Project Eaden is a producer of plant-based meats based in Germany. The company was in stealth mode for several years until its official formation in 2022. The company aims to develop a novel range of previously unseen foods, with a focus on alternate beef. The company uses a patented technology for production, which they claim can achieve high scalability and relatively low prices for consumers. In January 2023 , the company announced it has achieved a breakthrough in fiber spinning technology which it claims can lead to more texturally accurate alternative meats. It plans on using this technology for its first creation, an animal-free steak, slated to be available by the end of 2023.

Funding and financials

In June 2022 , the company raised EUR 8 million (~USD 8.37 million) in a seed funding round led by Creandum with participation from Magnetic, Atlantic Food Labs, and others. The funding was planned for the advancement and growth of its technology and the scaled production of its alternate steak. In December 2022, the company raised an additional EUR 2.1 million (~USD 2.3 million) which was to be used to expedite the process of getting its first steak product into the market.
