Button is the developer of PostTap (formerly known as Button Reach), an ad personalization solution for brands to maximize their mobile marketing spend. The mobile app-based patented technology can create personalized consumer experiences to optimize mobile landing pages and optimize campaigns across all mobile marketing channels including apps, SMS, and social media. In October 2021, in partnership with customer engagement platform Twillo, Button launched PostTap SMS, enabling enterprise customers to launch integrated SMS marketing strategies without needing any coding or app development. 

Button also offers “Tap,” a mobile loyalty program aimed at app developers and publishers. This allowed commerce ads to be placed within a publisher's app to improve the buyer's experience while providing additional monetization opportunities.

The firm claims that its platform is the first solution built to monetize commerce activity on mobile for enterprise users. Its PostTap solution reportedly results in a 30% lift to return on paid marketing spend, while its PostTap SMS yields a 29x ROI on marketing campaigns. 

In March 2022, the firm announced the appointment of a strategic advisory board to support the growth of its new product lines, which experienced triple-digit growth since its launch. At the same time, the firm claimed that its solutions had facilitated more than USD 5 billion in mobile ecommerce transactions.

Key customers and partnerships 

Button's customers include nine out of 10 of the largest retailers on the Forbes Global 2000 list, all 10 of the leading US ecommerce retailers, and global brands such as Samsung, Expedia, and United Airlines.

The firm entered into several strategic partnerships with mobile app developers and marketing automation startups to broaden its product offerings. A case in point was a strategic partnership with mobile marketing analytics platform Adjust to enable users to monitor and measure app traffic resulting from Button’s marketing optimization solutions.

Funding and financials

In June 2019, Button raised USD 30 million in Series C funding led by Icon Ventures. The funding was used to accelerate its product development, grow its strategic partnerships, and expand its geographical presence.
