VideoAmp is a privacy-focused suite of solutions for agencies, brands, and publishers to measure and optimize advertising performance across linear TV, streaming, and digital media. It leverages a commingling data process and platform powered by a trusted TV viewership dataset to help advertisers understand audience exposure to their ads with precision. VideoAmp's platform offers various capabilities, including content measurement, competitive insights, budget management, media plan optimization, currency management, audience measurement, outcome measurement, campaign optimization, digital activation, and targeting audiences. 

The platform claims to have one of the largest commingled, deduplicated, and enriched set-top box (STB) and automatic content recognition (ACR) television exposure datasets in the industry.  

VideoAmp has bolstered its suite of solutions through strategic acquisitions, including IronGrid Data Services in July 2018 to enhance measurement, planning, and audience solutions; Conversion Logic LTD in March 2020 to optimize media portfolios; and Elsy in April 2022 to streamline cross-platform media campaign management.

Key customers and partnerships 

In September 2023, the platform covered ~40 million households and 60 million+ devices across the US. The company saw the adoption of its measurement and currency solutions by 13 linear and streaming publishers, media holding companies, independent agencies, and 75+ advertisers. 

In October 2021, VideoAmp and HyphaMetrics, an independent quality data supplier, had partnered to integrate audience measurement solutions, using panel data with VideoAmp's TV viewership data for better audience insights and creating Virtual IDs (VIDs) for cross-platform reach in line with industry standards. In June 2023, VideoAmp and TransUnion joined forces to create a cross-platform media analytics solution, empowering marketers to measure campaign impact and optimize strategies for enhanced advertising effectiveness.

Funding and financials 

In September 2023, the company raised USD 150 million in a Series G funding round led by Vista Credit Partners to accelerate growth and improve its advanced media currency solution. However, shortly after this funding round, VideoAmp decided to optimize its business operations, resulting in the layoff of 10% of staff (~45–50 employees).
