Founded in 2005 by Claudio Erba, Toronto-based Docebo provides a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service learning management system (LMS) that enables companies to deliver, track, and certify online training to their staff. In addition to Docebo Learn, the company’s products include Docebo Discover and Coach & Share for artificial intelligence (AI)-powered social learning; Docebo for Extended Enterprise, an LMS for external training; and Docebo Content, a library of off-the-shelf and mobile-friendly learning content from more than 100 providers. The company was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in October 2019. As of December 2020, Docebo solutions were used by more than 2,000 organizations worldwide.
In March 2021, Docebo launched the Docebo Enterprise Learning Suite, moving beyond its LMS offering to provide solutions covering the entire learning lifecycle. The suite comprises the Docebo Learn LMS; Docebo Shape, an AI-enabled content creation tool; Docebo Content, a library of mobile-ready learning courses; and Docebo Learning Impact, a data-driven tool for measuring learning impact. In May 2021, the company launched Docebo Community to promote customer self-service, centralize help content, and use customer feedback to improve Docebo products. The company opened a new office in Munich, Germany in August 2021, adding to its existing locations in London, Paris and Milan, to strengthen its position in Europe.
In November 2020, the company acquired Paris-based forMetris, a SaaS-based learning impact evaluation platform. Its most recent acquisition was in January 2022, when it acquired educational firm Skillslive, strengthening its presence in Australia and giving it access to resources in the APAC region.

The company has secured several strategic partnerships in recent years. In March 2019, it partnered with Salesforce to support sales, marketing, and customer success teams. In July 2020, Docebo partnered with MHR International Group to embed its LMS in MHR's HR technology suite. In September 2020, the company entered into a multi-year agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) allowing AWS customers to access AWS Training and Certification products, including digital training, classroom training, and AWS Certifications, using the Docebo platform. In May 2021, Docebo announced four new partnerships: Vartopia, a partner relationship management solution that will deliver Docebo’s learning and certification through its partner portal; Vinsys, a training provider that will offer Docebo’s learning suite to organizations across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region; MHR, a provider of HR, payroll, and learning software that will embed Docebo’s learning suite across its HCM Platforms iTrent and People First; Bluewater, a consulting and service company for learning, talent, and human capital management that will expand its managed services by including Docebo. In December 2021, Docebo announced a strategic partnership with EdCast, provider of the knowledge cloud platform, to offer shared customers both LXP and LMS capabilities via an integrated AI-powered learning suite. Additionally, users can update their existing tech stack and advance their learning strategies. In August 2023, Docebo partnered with Google Cloud to leverage its generative AI services in order to transform the delivery of personalized learning at scale.
Funding and financials
Docebo announced a revenue growth of 37% YoY to USD 142.9 million for the full-year 2022 (FY2022). The company also reported an operating profit of USD 4.2 million, which is a significant improvement from the previous year's loss of USD 13.4 million. Similarly, the adjusted EBITDA improved to USD 1.3 million from a loss of USD 8 million in 2021. For Q2 2023, the company expected its revenue to range from USD 42.9 million to USD 43.2 million. Additionally, the gross profit margin is expected to be between 80.0% and 81.0%, and adjusted EBITDA margin is expected to be between 5.5% and 6.5%.
