Navro (formerly known as Paytrix) offers an application programming interface (API) for users to accept payments through a range of methods. It also offers a global payout network. The company negotiates terms with tier-one banking partners and locally integrated payment partners across more than 200 countries and 133 currencies (as of March 2023) to enable it to integrate directly with local payment schemes and offer real-time FX and instant settlement.
Users can reportedly connect Navro’s settlement infrastructure to any payment service provider (PSP), acquirer, or alternative payment method and receive payments in local currency. Furthermore, the infrastructure also lets users connect to a payout ecosystem and enable multi-party payments in real time.
In February 2024, Navro secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Central Bank of Ireland to offer secured global payment services in compliance with regulatory requirements across the EU. The company has also obtained an EMI license in the UK from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to strengthen its governance structure and expand its service reach.
Funding and financials
In February 2024, Navro raised USD 14 million in funding through an internal investment round co-led by Bain Capital and Unusual Ventures. The company earmarked the funds to enhance its reserves and meet the capital requirements of tier-one regulators, clients, and banks.
