Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, SkedGo develops a variety of mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions for governments and the private sector. The main ‘off-the-shelf’ product offered by the firm is TripGo, a multi-modal transit planning mobile app that covers a variety of modes of transport including public transport, shared vehicles, and micromobility options. A key feature of the app is it can be integrated with the user’s calendar to provide automatic trip alerts.
The firm provides a number of subscription plans to gain access to the TripGo application program interface (API) and software developer kit (SDK), which are priced on a one-off or on a monthly subscription basis. The firm also provides a free-to-download transport planning app.
A competitive edge of SkedGo is the flexibility of its APIs and SDKs, which allows developers and enterprises to integrate its systems into third-party apps while also offering a number of integrations to extend the capabilities of its platform to include 1) parking information, 2) contactless payment, and 3) calendar integrations for personal and private events. The firm partners with a number of ticketing platforms, transit agencies, and transport providers including Lyft, Uber, and Bikeshare to extend the number of integrations to its platform. Reflecting this, SkedGo was judged the ‘Smart City Platform of the year’ at the Future Digital Awards in 2020.
SkedGo’s operations spans across countries such as Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, and Europe (including France, the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and the Scandinavian region).
