Aviant

Aviant is a Norway-based startup that offers drone-based delivery services to customers from restaurant and retail partners. Its drones can cover a radius of 10.5 miles, carrying a payload of up to 3 lbs. They can navigate autonomously but are monitored by drone pilots for added safety (one pilot can simultaneously monitor several). The drones are designed to function in harsh winter conditions, including high winds and low temperatures.

Its drone-based delivery service “Kyte” allows customers to order groceries, readymade meals, and light medicines, via its Kyte app. Drones will then autonomously transport the package to the customer's location and return to the base. The company has operations in Norway (including Lillehammer) and Sweden.

As of February 2024, the company had a fleet of eight drones and completed 500+ deliveries spanning over 2,480 miles, achieving an average delivery time of 24 minutes.
