League

League is a Canadian patient engagement platform offering personalized solutions to healthcare organizations. Its application programming interface (API) platform and technology infrastructure allow healthcare providers, payers, employers, and consumer health practitioners to build personalized digital experiences for their patients. Additionally, its health OS (operating system) platform provides a customizable digital front door solution that supports patient triage and helps increase patient engagement. The company claims its customers can build and deploy healthcare experiences within six months.

The health OS platform was developed using the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources technology and leverages the Google Cloud Platform Healthcare API to collate patient health data from multiple sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), medical claims, wearable devices, and third-party partnerships to tailor patient experiences.

League announced in October 2023 that the company would use Google Cloud's Generative AI capabilities for greater customer experience and personalization capabilities on its platform, with an initial focus on optimizing member and patient journey orchestration.

Key customers and partnerships

Most recently in October 2024, League partnered with Medibank, an Australian private health insurer, to provide a more personalized healthcare experience for Medibank's customers. As a part of the partnership, League's data and AI-driven technology were integrated into Medibank's digital capabilities.

In November 2022, the company announced it would work with healthcare provider Highmark Health and Google Cloud to develop a digital health platform for Highmark members.

In March 2022, the company announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to improve patient engagement and offer a customized experience to its B2B clients using Google Cloud’s application programming interface (API).
