No Meat Factory

No Meat Factory is a Canadian producer of alternative proteins for third-party consumers with a focus on flexitarians. The company operates an innovation center and a test kitchen that employs experienced R&D and regulatory professionals, allowing it to expedite its product development process. 

No Meat Factory’s products include whole-cut meat alternatives (pork, beef, chicken), deli meats, processed products (nuggets, meatballs, hamburgers, bacon), and seafood alternatives, which are produced using soy, wheat, peas, oats, pulses, pumpkin, fava beans, chickpeas, mung beans, and rice-derived ingredients. The company has a BRC-certified 30,000 sq ft facility in British Columbia with the buildout of a second facility in the plans. 200,000 sq ft in size, the second facility will be built in the Pacific Northwest and will be able to produce sausages, and hotdogs in addition to its regular products.

The company began working with clients and generating revenue in September 2020, but financial figures have not been disclosed yet. 

Funding and financials

In January 2023 , the company raised USD 42 million in a Series B funding round led by Tengelmann Growth Partners with participation from its existing investor Emil Capital Partners (ECP). The funding was expected to facilitate the expansion of the company’s North American Footprint and support the buildout of the Pacific Northwest facility.
