Axena Health is a women-led medical device company offering treatment solutions for women with pelvic floor disorders. Its flagship product, the Leva Pelvic Health System, offers a non-invasive, and medication-free treatment for urinary incontinence (UI) and chronic fecal incontinence (FI) in women. The Leva System is a prescription digital therapeutic that guides women through pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) at home using a small FDA-cleared vaginal motion sensor connected to a smartphone app. An 8-week clinical study led to fewer leaking episodes and symptom improvement.
Further, the system allows users to monitor progress of PFMT, providing them with coaching as they progress. Additionally, the app tracks progress over time and shares this information with both the user and their healthcare provider.
Axena obtained the system from Renovia, which created and sold the Leva system before its closure in 2022.
