Soul Wallet

Soul Wallet is an Ethereum-focused self-custodial wallet. It is built on top of the ERC-4337 standard, bringing smart contract capabilities to wallets through a process called “account abstraction,” which removes the need to generate recovery seed phrases. It allows customers to recover their accounts via social means such as using one’s trusted contacts, another wallet, or even a third-party service. Its wallet also has two-factor authentication for an extra layer of security.

As of March 2023, the company was still developing the wallet internally and had plans to launch it in the second half of 2023. As of the same period, the company had 12 employees across the US, Japan, Thailand, and China.

Funding and financials

Soul Wallet raised USD 3 million in seed funding in March 2023 that saw participation from Struck Crypto, Alchemy, and Ankr as well as notable angel investors such as Ryan Sean Adams (Bankless) and Kristof Gazso (co-author of ERC-4337). However, it did not disclose the use of the proceeds.
