 UNDO, a UK carbon removal startup, has secured debt financing from Standard Chartered, British Airways, CUR8, CFC, and WTW. The amount was not disclosed. This expands their existing partnership. The company uses enhanced rock weathering technology.
 The aim of the financing is to show a transition structure for increasing carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects. It separates project costs from credit sales, providing financial flexibility and reducing delivery risks for developers.
 With this transaction, Standard Chartered will offer debt financing for UNDO, and British Airways will be dedicated to the carbon credits produced by the funded projects. CUR8 will provide due diligence and ensure that quality removals are there. Furthermore, CFC and WTW will work as specialist insurance providers to help in reducing the risk in the financing structure.
