HTG generates revenue through commissions for successful on-or off-site booking referrals (CPA), fixed commissions for referral clicks (CPC), fixed commissions for referral inquiries (CPL), and subscription-based revenue from partners for listing rental properties. The revenue is calculated as a percentage of the commission/booking value (revenue share) or a fixed amount based on the contract with the partner.
HTG’s acquisitions in 2022 included that of vacation rental providers, SECRA, AMIVAC (including its brands amivac.com, vacances.com, and vacances.seloger.com), and Frankfurt-based internet company, e-domizil GmbH, for EUR 40 million (~USD 44 million). Other acquisitions included that of Mapify, EscapadaRural, Tripping.com, Casamundo, and Feries between 2018–2021.
