HomeToGo announces the launch of curated search tools powered by OpenAI

Product updates

  • HomeToGo launched the first of its new search experiences titled "Modes," a set of curated search tools powered by OpenAI’s GPT language model.

  • The first search tool, currently in beta testing mode titled “AI Mode,” will provide personalized recommendations for vacation rentals to users based on text input. HomeToGo also hopes to launch other specialized planning tools later in the year. Other updates include the extension of its "Pay-What-You-See Pricing" to US travelers, the enabling of "Next Door Bookings" functionality to help large groups find nearby properties, and the inclusion of a "Side-by-Side Comparison" feature for consumers to compare homes based on amenities.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Travel tech firms are increasingly incorporating AI tools to improve travel search functionality, such as ODIEGO’s partnership with Google to launch AI-powered agents for travel booking in May 2023 and Expedia’s integration of ChatGPT for travel recommendations in April 2023 .
