Nintex is a workflow automation platform that enables enterprise users to create and manage robotic process automation (RPA) bots to automate structured tasks for a range of business functions, including HR, procurement, sales, marketing, and legal, among others. The platform caters to a number of industries, including education, healthcare, banking, technology, manufacturing, and the government sector. Users can identify and map processes and automate workflows via process applications and RPA bots.

Moreover, the platform offers tailored solutions including: 1) Employee onboarding and approvals automation for HR teams; 2) purchase order automation for procurement teams; 3) contract management solutions for sales teams; 4) accounts receivable collection, invoice management, and payroll expense reporting for accounting teams; and 5) compliance and contract management solutions for legal teams.

In October 2023, the company released “Promapp,” a mobile app that enables users to search and collaborate on business processes. The platform also provides an app ecosystem that includes Office 365, Salesforce, and SharePoint, as well as a gallery of pre-built automation templates. In March 2024, Nintex launched a number of new generative AI-powered tools for its platform. These include 1) Form Generator, which enables users to create customizable forms via a natural language text box, 2) Form Translator, which enables users to translate written content to over 130 different languages, and 3) Nintex Assistant, a GenAI chatbot which can provide real-time support and answers to user queries within the product.

In November 2024, the company launched Nintex Apps, a low-code application development platform that enables users to build custom applications connected to business workflows and unify data access across enterprise systems.

In September 2024, Nintex announced the opening of a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of a wider investment in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The company also announced new Nintex Automation K2 product offerings, including Arabic language support, modern user experiences, and new integrations. During the same period, the company also introduced Nintex Licensing and Permitting, a pre-built solution for state and local governments. The new solution features customizable approval processes, digital permit generation, and an online portal for citizens to submit applications and check statuses.

Nintex has acquired a number of companies, including Kyron, a process discovery and RPA solutions provider, which the company acquired in February 2022 for an undisclosed sum. The company leveraged the acquisition to extend the intelligent process automation (IPA) capabilities of its flagship automation platform.

The company has also acquired 1) AssureSign (2021), an e-signature and digital transaction management (DTM) software provider, to offer native e-signature capabilities for its clients, 2) K2 (2020), a peer automation platform, to tap into the company’s network of 1.5 million users and enable more complex data types and case management, and 3) Skuid (January 2024), an application development platform, to integrate its low-code application development capabilities into its platform and enable customers to build use case-specific interfaces and automation workflow
