Metadata.io is an account-based marketing (ABM) platform specialized for B2B marketing. The firm leverages AI and machine learning and claims to automate 82% of repetitive tasks done by B2B marketers including building target audiences, executing campaign experiments, and monitoring and optimizing campaigns. The firm platform also includes MetaMatch, a patented personal-to-corporate identity graph that provides access to 1.5 billion business profiles segmented by technographics, firmographics, and buyer intent signals. The firm has gone on to earn five patents for its matching technology and claims to increase match rates by 9x on Facebook and 7.5x on Linkedin respectively. 

The firm claims that its users experience a positive ROI within 10 months and has a faster payback period compared to its peers. In July 2022, the firm was recognized by G2 as the leader across all five account-based categories including account-based advertising, account-based orchestration, and account-based analytics.  

Key customers and partnerships

As of March 2022, Metadata had 150+ customers including Zoom, Drift, Pendo, Udacity, and Vonage.

Metadata has leveraged partnerships to grow its database of business profiles and expand its capabilities. In line with this, the firm has partnered with a number of data providers including KickFire (a provider of first-party intent data and IP address intelligence), G2 (buyer intent data), and LinkedIn to integrate its data and provide enhanced targeting and analytics capabilities within the Metadata platform. In addition, the firm has a partner program where it has partnered with marketing agencies including Omni Lab, Refine Labs, and PMG as well as technology partners including Mutiny , Bombora, and Qualified

Funding and financials

In March 2022, Metadata raised USD 40 million in Series B funding led by Next47 and Resolute Ventures. The funding was used to expand its platform capabilities. In August 2021, Metadata raised USD 5 million in convertible notes.

The firm also claimed that it experienced a 711% YoY growth from 2021 to 2022 and added 110+ new customers in 2021.
