AlefEdge is a leader in the edge internet space, delivering 5G-based edge internet to application developers.

AlefEdge offers a software-defined mobile edge (SD-ME) capability, that enables application developers to use the mobile edge. It enables 5G applications through open application programming interfaces (APIs) at the edge, aimed at making service adoption and distribution friction-free. The company offers its services globally with facilities across the US, Brazil, and India..

In November 2022, Alef launched the first 5G Edge Developer Community to facilitate enterprise adoption of Mobility as a Service APIs. The community aimed to connect developers globally, educate them on edge technologies, and enable the creation of mobility apps to address enterprise connectivity challenges.

In February 2022, Alef acquired CareerGig, an online marketplace for freelancers and IT professionals, for an undisclosed amount. Alef aims to use this acquisition to tap into CareerGig users and provide the developers with a suite of APIs to create private 5G mobile networks and apps. Accordingly, Alef aims to launch a new developer community in Q1 2022 to empower developers to develop edge computing skills.

Key customers and partnerships

AlefEdge has demonstrated a specific focus on the education and public sectors as seen in its efforts to bring private CBRS networks to families of the Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary School in Nacogdoches, TX and facilitating workers at a TSMC chip plant with CBRS network at its housing.

AlefEdge works with partners to build edge applications that leverage and realize virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence (AI), Industry 4.0, smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT), and gaming. In September 2020, it partnered with Vapor IO to utilize the latter’s micro data centers to roll out edge computing over private wireless networks. In the same month, it entered a partnership with NTT Ltd to introduce 5G-based internet for app developers.

In January 2021, AlefEdge partnered with network operations (NetOps) provider, Netris. Through the partnership, Netris will provide automatic networking, load balancing, and security to support an Edge cloud, enabling AlefEdge's customers to move away from managing the network. Moreover, AlefEdge also partnered with telecommunication company, Syniverse in June 2021, to enable enterprises to launch private 5G edge networks and launch 5G edge applications.
