XRAI is the developer of the AR One glasses (launched in June 2024, priced at USD 1,449), designed to improve conversational experiences for the deaf and hard-of-hearing population. The glasses feature a wireless design with an integrated beamforming microphone array. They offer real-time captions in over 140 languages, dual waveguide lenses, and support for online and offline transcriptions. The company claims that its microphone array facilitates accurate sound capture with a 95% accuracy rate within a two-meter range, even in busy environments.
The launch followed the XRAI Glass software in July 2022, capable of converting audio into subtitles displayed on AR glasses. The software also comes with an AI assistant, translation across 140+ languages, “auto-reverse” (to translate both languages in a conversation), a speaker ID (to identify different speakers), and XRAI Stream (to stream conversations to multiple devices simultaneously).
The company uses a freemium business model for individual users, with paid monthly subscriptions ranging from USD 17 to USD 43. Enterprise subscriptions are charged per hour, per device and range from USD 0.9 to USD 1.8.
