Recorded Future is a threat intelligence company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2009 by Christopher Ahlberg and Staffan Truvé, the company provides real-time threat intelligence through its Intelligence Cloud platform.

Recorded Future's products and services include:

• Intelligence Cloud Platform - Provides end-to-end intelligence across adversaries, infrastructure, and targets by indexing and analyzing data from the open web, dark web, and technical sources

• AI-powered analytics - Uses machine learning and natural language processing to generate actionable threat insights

In September 2024, Mastercard announced its acquisition of Recorded Future for USD 2.65 billion, with plans to integrate Recorded Future's threat intelligence capabilities into its cybersecurity and fraud prevention services. Prior to this, Recorded Future was majority-owned by private equity firm Insight Partners, which acquired the company in 2019 for USD 780 million.
