ChromaWay’s offerings consist of two major platforms: Postchain and Chromia. Postchain is a private blockchain or consortium database that leverages relational blockchain architecture. It has been used to register property on three continents, enabling growth in green finance through its Green Assets Wallet and even forming the basis for a proposed national e-currency. Chromia, on the other hand, is a public platform for decentralized applications.
ChromaWay's solutions have been used to support internal leasing in large organizations, issue financial instruments, and allow government agencies to issue licenses digitally.
Key customers and partnerships
ChromaWay used its protocol for issuing tokens on the bitcoin network to issue fiat currency in partnership with LHV Bank in 2014. Similarly, ChromaWay and Funderbeam used ChromaWay’s token issuance protocol to crowdfund startups on the Funderbeam platform, a platform for funding and trading growth companies.
In 2018, ChromaWay and the Swedish Land Registry demonstrated a live property sale using their blockchain-agnostic, client-side-validated smart contracting platform.
Snowbridge, a FinTech startup based in Taiwan, is building solutions using ChromaWay’s technology. It has developed an eID solution called “YesID,” a blockchain notary system called “Blockchain Witness,” and has worked with Taiwan’s land registry.
Funding and financials
ChromaWay raised USD 10 million in venture funding in January 2022 led by True Global Ventures. The company had not disclosed the planned use of funds.
