Being founded from US Department of Defense research, Mission Secure provides an OT cybersecurity platform to monitor, protect and provide incident response for its clients in the chemical, defense, manufacturing, oil & gas, power, smart cities, and maritime industries. The platform uses a patented signal integrity device and a dual approach to protect Level 0 process devices (eg - control valves, pumps, compressors) and Level 1 assets (controllers and improvised explosive devices) to prevent signal spoofing and system failure. Mission Secure’s platform also includes zero-trust access capabilities which was incorporated into its platform in partnership with XONA, a developer of zero-trust access solutions. The zero-trust user access layer includes an integrated closed-loop multi-factor authentication (MFA), browser-based virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and moderated secure file transfer, among other things, to enable remote workforces to securely access and engage in remote OT applications.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the company launched its First Look OT Cybersecurity Reconnaissance service for the remote protection of industrial control systems (ICS). In February 2021 professional services firm, Ince collaborated with Mission Secure to launch InceMaritime, a cybersecurity solution to protect maritime OT networks.
In January 2021, the company raised USD 5.6 million in a Series B funding round led by Ireon Ventures Ltd, Energy Innovation Capital, and Blue Bear Capital Partners for product development and recruitment of new cybersecurity experts to support its 24/7 managed services operation.
