QC Ware

QC Ware specializes in offering quantum software for enterprise quantum computing. The company’s cloud service (called Forge) connects users with hardware providers (such as D-Wave, IBM, Rigetti, Microsoft, and Google) to trial algorithms for business use. They have developed performance algorithms for optimization, chemistry simulation, machine learning, and Monte Carlo simulations. 

QC Ware provides a range of solutions including identifying potential use cases for initial Pilot Projects, exploring what quantum computers can do for specific use cases, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible today. 

QC Ware has achieved several breakthroughs in quantum machine learning by developing Data Loaders, a QRAM alternative that can efficiently and easily load classical data onto quantum hardware. 

Key customers and partnerships

In April 2021, the company collaborated with Goldman Sachs and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to explore and leverage applications of quantum computing. In June 2022, QC Ware entered into a five-year collaboration with Covestro to research and develop quantum algorithms to accelerate the discovery of new materials. In May 2023, the company and JPMorgan Chase partnered to develop a quantum-computing-based deep hedging algorithm. 

Funding and financials

In September 2021, the company raised USD 25 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Koch Disruptive Technologies and Covestro. The funds were allocated to accelerate the development of Forge, the company’s cloud service platform.
