G2 Esports

G2 Esports (G2) is a Berlin-based esports organization that mainly competes in 6 esports titles (including Counter-Strike and League of Legends). As of September 2020, the team has amassed USD 7.5 million in prize money with Counter-Strike and League of Legends prize winnings combined to account for around 60% of the team’s total prize winnings. In December 2020, the company opened a sim racing training facility at the Milton Keynes Technology Campus. The facility was built to improve the skills of its 12 team drivers and comes equipped with products from gaming equipment manufacturers such as AOC, Fanatec, Playseat, and HyperX.

2) Philippines-based gaming organization, Blacklist International to create a joint League of Legends: Wild Rift team named “G2 Blacklist.” (February 2023)

3) Red Bull racing to create Red Bull Racing Esports, established to compete in F1 Esports Pro Series and titles such as Forza Motorsport, Project Cars 2, rFactor 2, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom, and the FIA-Certified Gran Turismo Sport World Championship among others.  (March 2019)

Funding and financials

As of December 2020, G2 Esports is valued at USD 175 million with revenue of USD 19 million as per Forbes. The company raised USD 10 million in funding in December 2019 from Alibaba Co-founder Joseph Tsai, valuing it at around USD 100 million.
