Powerledger is a blockchain-enabled energy trading platform that facilitates peer-to-peer (P2P) energy transactions and Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) trading. The company's technology leverages blockchain and smart meters to enable transparent and efficient energy markets, empowering individuals, communities, and businesses to participate in energy generation, consumption, and trading. Powerledger operates on a customized permissioned Solana blockchain, incorporating a dual token system - the publicly traded POWR token and the Sparkz token pegged to local currencies for energy transactions.
